Default Certificate Processing Terms & Conditions
The school that is issuing your completion certificate is listed on your Student Home page. The following terms and conditions are specific to the Network of Private Educators. If your driving school is issuing your certificate, please make sure you have discussed and understand their specific certificate issuing policies as they might differ from the one included here.
- ONE CERTIFICATE: Upon successful completion of the course you are entitled to one certificate sent to you via First Class US Postal Mail to the address on record. You are responsible for ensuring that the address on record is accurate. If the address is not accurate and you need us to generate a duplicate certificate we will charge you a replacement fee. (See below for details.)
- TIMING: If the Network of Private Educators is processing your certificate, then do not make plans based on getting your certificate in less than 10 business days. We make every effort to process certificates within 1-2 business days of completion into the US Mail. At that point its up to them. If you need to get it faster you can pay for over night delivery. (See below for details.)
- EXPEDITING CERTIFICATES: We generally turn around certificates within a day but this is not guaranteed. If you need to guarantee same day handling we will charge you $10 if we can offer you that turnaround. If you need the certificate sent via an overnight delivery method you may supply a FEDEX account number for our use and we will not charge a special handling fee (other than an expedite fee if applicable). As a courtesy we will offer 2-Day Delivery for $15, Standard Overnight Delivery for $20 and Priority Overnight Delivery for $25. This covers the actual cost of the FEDEX delivery service from zip code: 93536, plus residential surcharges and fuel surcharge (~10%). We don't make money on this so this service is offered as a courtesy and at our discretion. We will get the certificate to FEDEX within 1 business day and then its up to FEDEX. You will get a tracking #. If FEDEX fails to deliver on time and we can get a refund we will issue you a refund. Otherwise there are no refunds for delays caused by FEDEX or their inability to delivery to you.
If you know that you will need to have your certificate expedited, please send an email to support immediately before or upon completing the course stating what your requirements are.
- BAD NAME ON FILE: You must enter your name as is it written on your birth certificate including your full middle name. If you provide us with an inaccurate name or a nickname and it is not accepted by the DMV, you will be responsible for returning the incorrect certificate and for paying for a replacement certificate.
- BAD ADDRESS ON FILE: If you fail to provide accurate address information during registration and the certificate is returned to us, we will charge you a reprocessing fee to mail it out again of $25. When we mail it out we will send it via a trackable postal method of our choice.
- ASSUMED LOST: Certificates are delivered within 2-3 weeks even when problems occur or they are returned to us. If you call regarding not receiving a certificate after 20 business days following completion of a course, and we have not received the certificate back in the mail, we will reasonably assume that the certificate was indeed lost by you and will charge you a replacement fee. The message is, do not wait a month or more to let us know you have not gotten your certificate.
- REPLACEMENT CERTIFICATES: If you lose a certificate, or if you provide incorrect name or birthdate information, or you provide an incorrect address and need a replacement certificate reissued, you are responsible for the cost to have the certificate reprocessed. You also must return the original certificate (if found). The cost of replacement is $30 to resend via USPS. If you want to arrange for an overnight delivery method we will also charge the cost of shipping via Fedex.
If there are any clerical errors on your certificate that are due to clerical errors on our part, please just return the certificate to us for a free replacement. Free replacements are also sent via US Mail unless other arrangements are made.
- INQUIRIES: We know that once you have passed the course you will be terribly eager to get your certificate. Please keep the timeframe in mind when making inquires. Remember to not schedule a DMV appointment within 2 weeks following the course completion.
